A HUGE thank you to our team of virtual London Marathon runners, who ran for Aspens yesterday and have collectively raised almost £3000 so far for our charity.

Our team of seven runners were able to select a course of their choice to complete the 26.2 miles, with 24 hours in which to do it. They had access to the Official London Marathon App, enabling them to track their course, and they all had official running number vests to wear on the day.

Joanne Amner, pictured running yesterday, was one of our Aspens runners. She said, "I am running to help support Aspens' work, as they continue to provide essential services to some of the most vulnerable people in our society during these challenging times. I hope you can support me by donating to my page and helping raise vital funds for Aspens, improving the lives of people with disabilities, learning needs and autism."

We are so grateful to all who ran for us yesterday. Their pages are still open for donations and we are sure they would appreciate any further support you are able to give.

Our Aspens runners joined more than 40,000 participants who ran the traditional Virgin Money London Marathon from Blackheath to The Mall yesterday. The virtual Virgin Money London Marathon was held for the first time last year, when more than 37,000 participants, from all corners of the world, completed the event.

Well done and congratulations to you all and we hope your legs aren't aching too much today!
