About the Role:

At Aspens we work across Kent and Sussex; supporting individuals with autistic spectrum conditions, learning disabilities and physical disabilities.

Our Children’s Centre, Falconwood, is a fun and lively service providing residential respite for young people between the ages of 5 and 17.

We are looking for a friendly, hard-working person with a fun spirit and a passion for supporting children and young people to join our team of support staff as a (maternity cover) support worker.

As a Support Worker you will play a big role in supporting children with in their day to day lives and activities whilst staying with us. Along with your general caring responsibilities this could also include activities such as baking, painting, or learning to play a new instrument as well as other activities out in the local community. This is what makes the role so rewarding, because with each shift you complete you know that you have helped to enrich someone else’s life and enjoyed yourself whilst doing it!

We have a range of shift patterns on offer depending on your availability. This includes early or late shifts, during the week and at weekends.

About You:

As a Children and Young People’s Support Worker at Falconwood it is important that you have some experience working with children and/or adults with Autism Spectrum Conditions or other Learning Disabilities.

You should be flexible and willing to support activities consistently, and be willing to also undertake any training necessary for your role.

It is desirable that you have a level 3 in Health and Social Care, however this is not essential as there are many training and qualification opportunities available through our fantastic internal training team.
