About the Role:

You will be supporting the Service Manager to oversee the day to day working of our

  • Short Breaks Scheme that involves providing groups as well as 1-1 support for children and young people and their families in accordance with the criteria set by East Sussex County Council and support the team with our
  • Youth Engagement Service/Engagement Keyworker Service (run in partnership with CAMHS, Adult Mental Health Teams and Sussex NHS) where Aspens Charities provide 1:1 support to children, young people and adults up to the age of 25years, that are referred into the service through our partners.

This will include

  • Planning the schedule of groups, actives, workshops and outings for the children
  • Working with the Service Manager to oversee the Youth Engagement Service
  • Ensuring the service meets requirements of Aspens Charities quality standards and meets legislator regulations by Ofsted and CQC.
  • Support production of regular service updates and monitoring and evaluating processes to measure outcomes and ensure a high-quality service which focuses on the expressed needs and requests from children and young people.
  • Raise awareness and tackle barriers and stigma faced by children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and have a good understanding of ASC.

This role is based at our office in Battle however as it is a county wide provision it is expected that you will need to travel across the East Sussex will require you to travel to other Aspens sites across Kent and Sussex as deemed necessary for your job role.

About You:

You should already have experience both lone working and working in a team with Children and Young People with Autism Spectrum Conditions and be familiar with all relevant legislation, policies, procedures and knowledge of child protection issues.

You should either already hold a Level 3 in Health and Social Care or be willing to complete this while in post in a timely manner.

This role will require you to work Monday to Friday and have access to your own vehicle with business insurance. It is desirable if you are also available to work evenings and weekends as well to support the service when required.

Ideally you are a motivated individual with a passion for supporting and advocating for children and young people while also supporting and leading a team both through delegation and by leading by example.
