Update - 17 June 2021

Message from Robbie:

"Unfortunately I have had to defer running the Ultra Marathon this year as my knee won't manage to run the straight 55k race in one day, but I'll definitely be taking up the challenge next year!!!!!

So instead of the Ultra Marathon, I will be doing the Tour of Merseyside from 27th June - 3rd July, which is taking place during Learning Disability Week, covering 52 miles over 6 events in 7 days.

I have been lucky to have run in nearly 20 marathons across the world including New York, Paris, London as well as my home city Liverpool. Although I am not able to take on my ultimate challenge this year I hope you can still support me in my new challenge at a time when we are faced with a worldwide pandemic, and as CEO of Aspens my target is to raise £5000 of much-needed funds for the charity to help the team continue providing vital support to people with learning disabilities, complex needs and autism. Many thanks for any donation you are able to give.

A big thank you to everyone who has already supported me."

Robbie Shanahan, CEO Aspens Charities.
