Support us Volunteer with us Aspens is always on the look-out for enthusiastic volunteers to help us in the many different parts of our ever-growing organisation. If you volunteer with us, your support can make a meaningful difference in helping us to empower those we support and have a positive impact on their lives. We're delighted to welcome volunteers from all over the South East. Our amazing volunteers give their time, passion and skills for free to help Aspens ensure that people with learning disabilities and complex needs, and those on the autism spectrum, will have the opportunity to live life to its full potential. In return for their generously-donated time, volunteering for Aspens provides a fun and rewarding experience; an opportunity to develop existing skills and develop new ones; and a chance to gain valuable professional experience to give your CV a boost. We have a range of volunteering opportunities available across Sussex, Kent and Bexley both during the day and in the evening, every day of the week. The Natural Affinity Garden for Aspens, designed by Camellia Taylor, won a Silver-Gilt medal at the prestigious show. The garden has now been relocated at our Pembury site and we are looking for volunteers with a passion for horticulture to help maintain and nurture the garden in this next exciting chapter of its journey. If you'd like to find out more about this fantastic opportunity to be involved with this award-winning garden please contact [email protected] Volunteer in an Aspens charity shop or eBay store Aspens has high street stores in Bexhill, Crowborough, Paddock Wood and Seaford, as well as an eBay store, all of which sell quality donated items including clothing, bric-a-brac, toys, books and electrical goods. Volunteering opportunities for our high street shops include working in-store; collection and delivery of furniture and house clearances. Our eBay store would be grateful for support sorting, photographing, listing and posting items. If you’d like to volunteer for an Aspens shop or eBay please contact [email protected] Volunteer to help get people into work A crucial part of the Aspens mission is to help the people who use our services to be active, contributing members of their local communities. We place individuals and groups in external volunteering placements and give them the support they require in their roles, as well as working closely with their employers. If you’d like to volunteer to help get people into work, please contact [email protected] Volunteer in the great outdoors If you’re not able to commit to a regular activity, why not contact us to ask what special projects we’re running at the moment? Aspens provides a wide and varied range of activities for the people who use our services, including a number of sporting pursuits in the great outdoors (particularly during the warmer months) and exciting day trips for fun, relaxation and quality time together.
