Acorns Upcycling Shop Opening

We’re delighted to announce the launch of the Acorns Upcycling Shop and invite you to join us for a special opening event to celebrate on Wednesday 12 August.

Based at Acorns Day Opportunities in Pembury, our new shop showcases a range of unique and creative items that have been lovingly upcycled by the people we support alongside our dedicated team. The project has been developed to create meaningful opportunities for people to build skills, express creativity, and transform pre-loved items into something new and purposeful.

The Acorns Upcycling Shop offers visitors the chance to discover one-of-a-kind pieces while supporting a project that promotes sustainability, creativity, and inclusion within our local community.

To mark the opening, we will be hosting a launch event where guests can enjoy refreshments, enjoy live music, meet the team, and browse the collection of items available to purchase. Whether you are looking for inspiration, hoping to find something special for your home, or simply want to support the work taking place at Acorns Day Opportunities, we would love to welcome you.

PBS Senior Support Worker (Rosewood)

As a senior you will be working closely to one individual. They are non-verbal and have challenging behaviours that can result in self-harm or harm to others. Any behaviour is a way of communication and can cause distress for the service user and those around them - it is key that you allow time to get to know them understand each other and great a lovely bond.
Waking Night Support Worker - Bluejay

Bluejay is supported living for individuals who require higher levels of specialised support. Sometimes the people we support find it difficult to communicate effectively so our staff need to be prepared to deal with complex and distressed behaviours on occasion; this might include physically supporting them to keep themselves and others safe from harm.
Aspens Children’s Short Break and Overnight Service Celebrates Second Outstanding Ofsted Rating in Less Than a Year

We are delighted to announce that Aspens’ Children’s Short Break and Overnight Service in Bexley has been awarded an Outstanding rating by Ofsted for the second time in less than a year – a remarkable achievement that reflects the dedication, compassion and expertise of our colleagues.

Bluebell Cafe and animal farm, Pembury

Come and visit Aspens' Bluebell Cafe near Pembury Village, just outside Tunbridge Wells in Kent. Our Cafe is open Monday-Friday 10am-4pm (Wednesday 11am-4pm) and serves hot drinks, meals and snacks. Our site also has a woodland walk, an animal farm and a children's playground. Over the summer we are often open at the weekends - check our page for more details.
West Sussex children and young people's service

We provide support to young people on the neurodevelopmental pathway to help them become independent and confident individuals. We offer a range of services to young people aged 8-18 years living in West Sussex, including those who are in or out of education.

East Sussex children and young people's services

Details of Aspens children's services in East Sussex. Aspens offers services for children and young people with disabilities, those on the autism spectrum, and those with complex needs aged 8-25 (18-25 with EHCP). Our services support those who may be in or out of education, facing social isolation or unable to access group-based activities.
Adopt an Aspens animal

Visit our wonderful animal farm situated at our site at Cornford Lane, Pembury, near Tunbridge Wells. We have a range of animals big and small, from guinea pigs and ferrets to ponies, emus and alpacas! It's free to come and say 'hi', we simply ask that you consider leaving a donation to help support our work.
Specialist support

Aspens’ Specialist Service provides person-centred, strengths-based support for families of neurodivergent children and young people, whether they have a formal diagnosis or not, including those with learning disabilities and mental health conditions.

Aspens' Roebuck Enterprises Centre in Hastings, East Sussex, offers a variety of creative workshops for development and enjoyment, such as drama, baking and crafts.
