Accredited learning disability and dementia residential care

Briars, located in the heart of Aspens' beautiful site in Pembury near Tunbridge Wells, is a dementia-accredited setting and is the only service in the region specifically designed to support individuals with a dual diagnosis of learning disability and dementia. 

We provide personalised, specialist care within a safe, accessible, and nurturing environment, tailored to meet the complex and evolving needs of our residents. O

Accommodation Details

Briars is a single-storey, wheelchair-accessible property with nine bedrooms, an open-plan lounge/dining room and a fully fitted kitchen. Briars has three bathrooms, including a wet room and two assisted bathrooms, one with a Parker bath and the other with a seated hoist. The conservatory, adjoining the back of the house, leads out to a paved patio and fenced-in furnished area. Briars have their own adapted vehicle for the benefit of the residents.

Location

The house is set in the heart of Aspens’ Pembury site, with an award-winning Chelsea Flower Show accessible sensory garden right outside the property, and The Bluebell Cafe, animal farm and beautiful woodland just minutes away. Briars is within walking distance of Pembury High Street where there are shops, a post-office and a bus service with links to the nearby towns of Tunbridge Wells and Tonbridge. Tunbridge Wells Hospital is less than a mile away.

Referrals to Aspens can be made by your Learning Disability Team, Social Services Care Manager or by contacting us directly for an informal chat about your specific needs. We encourage planned visits to help you to feel comfortable in these new surroundings.

    Bluebell Cafe and animal farm, Pembury

    Come and visit Aspens' Bluebell Cafe near Pembury Village, just outside Tunbridge Wells in Kent. Our Cafe is open Monday-Friday 10am-4pm (Wednesday 11am-4pm) and serves hot drinks, meals and snacks. Our site also has a woodland walk, an animal farm and a children's playground.
