Our patron Camellia Taylor Camellia Taylor, RHS Chelsea Flower Show award-winning garden designer, is a patron of Aspens. Camellia designed The Natural Affinity Garden for Aspens, which was presented at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2023 and awarded a Silver-Gilt medal. The garden has now been permanently rehomed at Aspens' Pembury site. Camellia studied garden design at the London College of Garden Design, based at Kew Gardens, graduating with distinction in 2020. She is currently completing a master’s in Landscape Architecture at Greenwich University, deepening her focus on inclusive and sustainable design. In 2022, she exhibited (alongside Lyndan Brewer) at the Belvoir Castle Flower Show, where they won the Professional’s Choice Award. We are delighted that Camellia has continued her incredible support for Aspens by becoming a patron, helping us raise awareness of our mission to empower people on the autism spectrum and those with learning disabilities. Camellia runs The Garden Taylor, a Kent-based studio specialising in bespoke garden and landscape design. Prior to her career in garden and landscape design, she completed a Psychology degree and later studied Developmental Speech and Language Therapy at University College London. She went on to work in the NHS and in specialist schools, supporting young people on the autism spectrum and those with complex needs. Camellia has had a relationship with Aspens for several years, having first become aware of the charity when visiting the Cornford Lane site with her young children. Since then, she has worked with us on a number of projects. With her background in psychology and healthcare and her experience working alongside Aspens, Camellia is passionate about supporting our work and has a deep understanding of our values, vision and mission.
