Pride and Proud Online Support Group Launches this Week

The Pride and Proud group is going to be run by Edith, who is supported by Aspens' supported living community team, and our Engagement Lead Janine Jacquin, and is open to people age 18+.

Edith enjoys creating artistic TikTok posts to help raise awareness on issues facing LGBTQ+ people with disabilities, and felt passionately that a group such as this is needed to help those who may be struggling, feeling lonely or wanting to meet like-minded people. Edith says the group will provide a safe space to offer support, make friends and possibly find romance!

The group will run on the last Wednesday of every month at 7.00pm, via Zoom, with the first one taking place this week on 29 June. Anyone aged 18 or over, with a learning disability or on the autism spectrum, who is LGBTQ+ or questioning whether they may be, is very welcome to join the group.
