James, who is supported by Aspens in Kent, has signed up to take our Au-Some 10 for 10 Challenge fundraiser celebrating 10 years of our Family Support service and Autism Acceptance Week.

James was inspired to take part as he is autistic and wants to support those who have a family member who is on the autism spectrum.

He has decided to create 10 craft projects with his support worker Gosia Czapiewska and has already started!

James says: “I am looking to raise some funds to help more families in need. I will do some craft work for ten days. I will post some photos to show what I have done. Please will you support me, just a small donation can help. Thank you in advance for any contribution you can give. It means a lot to me.”

Our Family Support Team provides a lifeline to parents, carers and siblings who are living with a young person or adult on the autism spectrum or with complex needs through a range of services including support groups, workshops, activities, an advice chat-line and one-to-one support.

To enable the team to reach more people they urgently need more funds and this is where you can help by taking up our Au-Some 10 for 10 Virtual Challenge.  It’s easy to take part – simply do 10 of an activity of your choice during Autism Acceptance Week from 26th March - 3rd April 2022, and get sponsored for doing so.

We’ll be sharing the photos of James completing his challenge on our social media over so keep an eye out!
