We are proud to launch What Autism Acceptance Means To Me, a month‑long campaign celebrating the voices, experiences, and strengths of autistic people, their families, and the colleagues who support them every day. Over the next couple of days and throughout April, we will be sharing a series of videos created by people across our organisation and community, each offering their own perspective on what acceptance looks and feels like.

The campaign forms part of a wider national initiative led by the Autism Alliance, bringing together quotes and videos from across the UK to highlight why acceptance matters now more than ever. Each story captures a personal reflection on belonging, understanding and the power of meeting people’s needs so they can thrive in our society.

Alongside these stories, the Autism Alliance has published a dedicated blog to mark the start of World Autism Acceptance Week, which you can read at the link below. The collection of videos and quotes will remain available as a lasting resource, helping to amplify autistic voices and strengthen understanding long after the month ends.

Aspens CEO Robert Shanahan said:

“Acceptance is powerful. When we truly see and value autistic people for who they are, we open the door to confidence, opportunity, and a life where everyone belongs. I’m incredibly proud of our community for sharing their voices and helping to build a more understanding and inclusive society.”

Throughout Autism Acceptance Month, we’ll be sharing these inspiring stories across our social channels. Follow Aspens to hear directly from the people who make our community so strong.
