It's Learning Disability Week and we're highlighting some of the many achievements and passions of the people we support, and how our team empower them to live life to the full, to bust they myths about living life with a learning disability. We're shouting about the amazing things people with a learning disability do.

Abbie has been taking part in Aspens' Employability sessions, led by Megan Hollamby, to learn skills with the goal of finding meaningful and rewarding employment. She is passionate about animals and hopes to find work working in this area.

Abbie said: "Since starting working with Megan as part of Aspens' Employability, it has helped to improve my confidence and communication. I want to find a job with animals outside because they are my favourite. I enjoy the sessions where I work on my City and Guilds Skills for Working Life Qualification. I currently work at Tunbridge Wells Hospital. I like coming to Acorns because I like the social side of it, I have made new friends."

Megan said: "Abbie is a fantastic individual with so much potential, Abbie works hard towards her qualification and I know is going to go on to great things."
