Our Children and Young People's Services team in East Sussex is launching two new sessions for young people this autumn.

Their Forest School for 12-25 year olds will be a fantastic opportunity for young people who are on the autism spectrum or have learning disabilities to enjoy the benefits of spending time and learning in nature. The weekend sessions will include lots of fun and stimulating activities such as building campfires, learning to use forest tools and discovering more about the local flora and fauna.

The team are also starting up a new All-Inclusive Group to give young people the opportunity to improve social and communication skills, build confidence and make new friends in a relaxed setting. This group is aimed at young people who may have struggled in previous youth groups through behaviours of concern or had difficulties with social relationships. The group will be highly staffed to reduce risk but will allow greater level of interaction. The sessions will run on Thursdays at 5pm during term time at our Roebuck Centre in Hastings, and will include activities such as music, drama, cookery, art and interactive games.
