Aspens Positive Behaviour Support Team Highly Commended at National Awards We are delighted to share that our Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Specialist Team has been Highly Commended in the Positive Behaviour Support category at the National Learning Disabilities & Autism Awards, held on Friday. This outstanding recognition celebrates the team’s dedication to delivering person-centred care and achieving meaningful outcomes for the people they support. Competing alongside exceptional organisations from across the country, being recognised at this level is a significant achievement and a testament to the team’s commitment, compassion and expertise. The awards judging panel praised the team’s impact, stating:“This team demonstrates exceptional passion and commitment to the wellbeing, welfare, and quality of life of the people they support. They are dedicated to ensuring that individuals receive compassionate, person-centred care that promotes independence, dignity, and positive outcomes. Equally impressive is their commitment to developing staff knowledge, skills, and confidence through ongoing learning and professional development. They recognise that investing in their workforce directly enhances the quality of support provided and benefits everyone involved. Their proactive approach to sharing best practice, fostering growth, and driving continuous improvement creates a positive culture where both individuals and staff can thrive and succeed.” We also extend huge congratulations to Jerri Burke-Bowen, who was named a finalist in the Support Worker category. This recognition reflects her hard work, dedication and the positive difference she makes every day. Meraud Davis, Aspens’ Head of Service Development and PBS, said:“I’m incredibly proud of the entire team and of Jerri for this well-deserved recognition. Our focus has always been on empowering individuals to live fulfilling, independent lives, and it’s fantastic to see that commitment acknowledged on a national stage. This achievement belongs to everyone who works so passionately to make a difference.” Well done to all involved in this fantastic achievement.
