Aspens worked in collaboration with Camellia Taylor, local garden designer, who created the design for The Natural Affinity Garden for Aspens and headed up the team that built the Silver-Gilt prize winning garden at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2023.

Camellia runs a Kent-based garden design business, The Garden Taylor, which offers bespoke garden and landscaping services and prior to her career as a garden and landscape designer, she studied for a Psychology degree and subsequently studied developmental speech and language therapy at University College London. Camellia also worked in the NHS and specialist schools, working with young people on the autism spectrum and those with complex needs.

Camellia has had a relationship with Aspens for several years, having first become aware of our charity when visiting the Cornford Lane site with her young children some years ago. She has since worked together with us on a variety of different projects. With her background in psychology, healthcare and specialist schools and her experience of visiting and working with Aspens, Camellia is passionate about providing a garden that will benefit all the people in Aspens' community and has an excellent understanding and empathy with our core values, vision and mission.
